I have two web sites I need to update, please help...?

The person who was updating left the company and now no one can help me. I have used FTP Client software before to update sites, but my IT guy is telling me I need something different becuase it is on an Apache server. Is that true? All I am getting in my remote files (right side of FTP program) are text documents and error documents no web pages. Please help me see the light. Thanks!

Text documents and error documents? That's not something I'm familiar with. The fact that you are even connecting indicates that I would have the same results.

Are you trying to connect using FTP information that he gave you, or are you trying to connect anonymously? Regardless, he is not telling the truth. Maybe he used a third party service to host and design your website.

The main question is... how is he uploading it? Maybe you should hire me.
